He originated the concept of a programmable computer almost a century before its initiation. This is why he is considered the ‘Father of Computers’. Though his contributions and achievements are many, he is renowned for designing and inventing the vast mechanical calculating engines that were considered one of the amazing accomplishments of the 19th century.
He dedicated most of his life, used up a major share of his wealth and a government subsidy to come up with a perfect mechanical calculating machine that gave way to more intricate modern day machines.
