Shwebomin biography
The British chapter is known as the Royal Burma Society of Great Britain - RBS of GB for short. It was founded by HRH The Prince Shwebomin The Crown Prince of Burma, also known as HRH Crwon Prince Shwebomin of Burma in English, assisted by an English friend called Michael P Wright, BA Hons, on 23 November 1993.
The formal proceedings took place at the very first meeting at Genie restaurant in Holland Park, a prosperous part of west London, with some twenty attendees, all non-Burmese except the Founder His Royal Highness.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
RBS of GB, like all other RBS chapters, is totally above politics.
It aims to promote:
a) correct understanding of Burmese history, heritage, culture, people and contemporary society to all of which HRH Prince Shwebomin* holds dear.
