Zubaida Rahman (Bengali: জোবাইদা রহমান) is a Bangladeshi physician, and the wife of politician Tarique Rahman.[3][4]
Personal life
Born Zubaida Khan on 18 May 1972 in Sylhet, she is the daughter of Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan, Chief of the Naval Staff of Bangladesh during the regime of Ziaur Rahman.
She descended from an Afghan chieftain who settled in Bengal during Mughal rule.[5][6] He served as the Minister of Communications and Agriculture in the government of Hussain Muhammad Ershad.[7]
